First Reading Sir 27:4-7 Speech shows state of mind.
Second Reading 1 Cor 15:54-58 Death has no victory.
Gospel Lk 6:39-45 Take the plank from your eye.
As a Catholic school and community, each of us, our families, and friends are invited to walk in a prayerful Lenten rhythm.
The natural cadence of our day includes school uniforms and lunches, school drops, work, shopping, and adjusted schedules; however, we also need to build moments of pause, moments of prayer, moments to notice the breathing in and breathing out of God’s spirit.
So this Lent, what are you, your families, and your community leaving out of your day (giving up) so as to create space for prayer and reflection (picking up) in your life?
A thought from the POPE: Lent – a time of renewal
“Lent is a time of renewal for the whole Church, for each community and every believer. Above all it is a “time of grace” (2 Cor 6:2). God does not ask of us anything that he himself has not first given us. “We love because he first has loved us” (1 Jn 4:19).”
